Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is a technique that allows the selection of so-called “healthy" embryos without a specific genetic load prior to its transfer to the uterus. Our clinic has been specializing in pre-implantation genetics since 2000, when we became the first clinic in the Czech Republic and Central and Eastern Europe where PGD was successfully performed. We were also the first in Central Europe to introduce the ground-breaking Karyomapping method and, more recently, we use Next generation sequencing (NGS). Since 2004, we have performed PGD for 77 different monogenic diseases. In the Czech Republic we have the longest experience, which we always try to adapt to conform to the wishes and expectations of our clients.
