An ectopic pregnancy is a condition in which a fertilized egg nests and develops outside the uterus, most often in the fallopian tube. This pregnancy is dangerous and requires medical attention because it can cause serious complications and endanger a woman’s health.
Causes of this condition include damage to the fallopian tube, inflammation in the pelvic area, hormonal imbalances or abnormalities in the structure of the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Ectopic pregnancy is most often manifested by pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic area or vaginal bleeding.
