But our way to her was not easy. After stopping birth control, I waited in vain for my period to return, and with each passing month the uncertainty grew. We tried for a baby, but without success. My gynaecologist prescribed me supportive medication, but it did not suit me and unfortunately did not bring the desired result.

After long months of exhausting efforts, the turning point came – a recommendation for IVF and a referral to Repromeda.

At the clinic we were immediately welcomed with kindness and understanding. First we had genetic blood tests (Karyotype and PANDA test), a spermiogram and a gynecological examination, where I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. The doctor explained all the options in detail and together we decided on IVF treatment. They set my cycle with suppositories and stimulation was done with shots that I injected at home. Although this was new to me, thanks to the support of the team and clear instructions, I managed everything.

Egg retrieval was quick and within days we knew we had five genetically suitable embryos frozen.

We enthusiastically embarked on the next step – the transfer. We decided to promote the chance of success using the Glue and waited anxiously. The embryo took hold, but after a few weeks we unfortunately discovered that it had stopped developing. It was a huge blow, but we didn’t give up.

The very next month we went for another attempt – and this time luck smiled. The pregnancy went well and today we are holding our Natálka in our arms. Every day with her is a dream come true for us and we will never forget the tremendous support we received at Repromeda.
