The term euploidy is used in genetics and refers to a condition where cells or an organism have a normal number of chromosomes. A healthy person has 46 chromosomes, which corresponds to 23 chromosome pairs. When there are deviations from this number, for example, the presence of too many or too few chromosomes, this is known as aneuploidy. Euploidy is therefore a condition in which there is a normal number of chromosomes in the cells or organism.
