When I received a human body atlas for my birthday in elementary school, the study of biology absolutely consumed me. From then on, I was determined to become a doctor. But as fate would have it, genetics got in the way towards the end of high school. Delving into the complex world of molecular biology and studying the principles of heredity was incredibly fascinating. I rejected my lifelong dream of becoming a doctor and started studying genetics and molecular biology at Masaryk University. However, the idea of helping people has never completely left me, which is why today I work as a geneticist in a reproductive clinic where the two fields are beautifully intertwined.
