The transfer of the embryo into the uterus is one of the most crucial steps in IVF treatment; hence, it’s beneficial to support it as much as possible. What is the success rate of the FET, or how likely am I to get pregnant?
The probability of getting pregnant after the transfer of one embryo examined by preimplantation genetic testing is close to 60 percent at our clinic. However, in the vast majority of cycles, multiple viable embryos will be retrieved. Approximately 7 out of 10 couples thus only need one IVF cycle on their way to a baby. During 4 IVF cycles, 99 percent of couples at our clinic become pregnant.
How can you increase the success of a FET?
Embryo transfer into the uterus is the imaginary culmination of IVF treatment. Its essence is the insertion of a selected promising embryo into the woman’s uterus. Take a look at the methods that can help you get pregnant.:
EmbryoGen/BlastGen Culture Medium
EmbryoGen/BlastGen culture media contains the key growth factor GM-CSF, which is essential in the absorption of nutrients by the early embryo. This growth factor promotes growth and increases the likelihood of reaching the blastocyst stage. In addition, it protects the embryo from damage caused by cellular stress and programmed cell death. The growth factor GM-CSF is naturally found in the fallopian tubes and in the uterus during pregnancy. It allows for better development and communication between the embryo and the uterine lining. As a result, embryos that are grown and transferred to the uterus in media containing GM-CSF have a greater chance of successful implantation.
Testing the maturity of the endometrium
The endometrium, also known as the uterine lining, is located in the inner layer of the uterine wall and plays a crucial role in the process of conception. There is a specific period during the menstrual cycle, known as the implantation window when the endometrium is most ready to receive and nest an embryo. However, the formation of the uterine lining can vary among women, with up to 35 percent of women having a shifted implantation window. This means that it occurs at a different part of their cycle than usual. The maturity tests of the endometrium, EndomeTRIO, and BeREADY serve precisely this purpose, accurately determining the implantation window and, thus, the best time for transfer.
EmbryoGlue
EmbryoGlue is a kind of “tissue glue” that helps keep the embryo on the uterine wall. It also provides all the nutrients necessary for embryo growth and mimics the conditions in the uterus. A key component is a high content of hyaluronan (0.5 mg/ml), which naturally occurs in the follicular fluid of the fallopian tubes and the uterus.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture before and after the transfer can affect the uterus’s ability to receive the transferred embryo. Another benefit of acupuncture is the relaxation of the cervical canal, which allows easier embryo transfer and helps prevent potential spasms.
What regimen to follow after the FET?
After the embryo transfer, give yourself a restful regime. For the next two weeks, avoid excessive physical activity and lifting heavy objects. Also, skip hot baths and sauna visits. Simply allow yourself to rest. Now is the time for reading, walking in the fresh air, watching series, or even engaging in handicrafts—anything that you enjoy and does not require much physical effort.

If you do not get your period within 14 days of the embryo transfer, you can take a pregnancy test at home. But don’t take the test unnecessarily early. During IVF treatment, you take a number of medications that can skew the result either toward a false positive or a false negative. The test will not give relevant results until after 14 days.
