At Repromeda, we do not believe in a single universal approach for everyone. We are convinced that each couple is unique. Together, we will find the right treatment for you with minimal risk of complications and the highest probability of success. However, to achieve this, we need to conduct several examinations initially.
Ultrasound examination of the pelvic cavity and gynecological examination
This examination is one that you are familiar with from regular check-ups at your gynecologist. We perform the ultrasound through the abdominal wall or using a vaginal ultrasound probe, and during this, we evaluate the shape of the uterine cavity and the position of the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Hormonal profile
We conduct the examination by taking a blood sample, considering the phase of the menstrual cycle (2nd – 3rd day of menstruation). From the obtained hormonal profile, we determine the exact level of sex hormones.
Thyroid hormone examination
Thyroid hormone testing is also conducted using a blood sample and determines the levels of hormones TSH, fT4, fT3, anti-TPO, and anti-TG.
Tests for sexually transmitted diseases
We perform this test to prevent any complications that STDs may cause at conception. It includes detection of Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis and HIV.
Immunological examination
Some couples may have immunological causes of infertility, which is why this examination is important and helps us in determining further procedures. If necessary, we will recommend additional examinations or a consultation with a reproductive immunologist.
Genetic examination
In couples who have difficulty conceiving, structural chromosomal abnormalities are often present. We can detect these through genetic testing.
Karyotype determination is a basic genetic examination that every couple undergoes with us. However, we also offer more advanced genetic testing – PANDA Infertility and PANDA Carrier.
Test for fallopian tube patency and hysteroscopy
We perform this test only in indicated cases.
Most frequently asked questions
Isn’t all this a waste of time? By the time I receive the results, I could already be undergoing IVF and be pregnant soon.
We believe it’s quite the opposite. Our goal is to save your time and money. We don’t want to subject you to months of unnecessary uncertainty and unsuccessful attempts at pregnancy. Sometimes, these attempts additionally end in early miscarriage, which means another loss of time needed for both psychological and physical recovery. We strive to perform all tests in the shortest possible time and, based on the results of clinical and laboratory examinations, recommend a suitable approach specifically for you.
